Despite its crisp 100-minute running time, Joker feels long and laborious because most of the gags are recycled. The humor is flat, and the characters plain silly. It’s easy to write off Joker as a complete failure, but to give credit where it’s due, the film is less offensive than many Akshay Kumar films we’ve seen recently. Devoid of double-meaning dialogues and sexist jokes, there is stuff here that might have made for an engaging children’s film, had Kunder not fallen prey to that oldest mistake – of treating his audience like fools.Joker unfolds briskly and predictably. Alas, just as you’re confronted with an unpredictable twist in the tale, the film comes to a screeching halt. Once again, an opportunity wasted.I’m going with one-and-a-half out of five for Joker. This is no enjoyable circus. Far from it.

despite everything going in its favor, JOKER falls flat on its face! JOKER runs out of gas as soon as director Shirish Kunder establishes the plot, because neither does the comic quotient work, nor do the aliens [fake and actual] salvage the show. In fact, the film makes a mockery of everything you may have seen or heard of UFOs and aliens.While bits and pieces of the first half is tolerable, the film goes completely awry in its post-interval portions. Seriously, what was Kunder thinking while penning and executing this one? Imagine an alien dancing to Indian songs and also doing pelvic thrusts!!! Yes, you read that right! On the whole, JOKER is a joke of a film. Disaster!

So what happens if a film -- one ostensibly in the guise of a comedy -- doesn't try too hard? The humour here isn't grating, overdone, outrageous, offensive, excruciating, unwatchable. There isn't a single line in Kunder's film that actually works, leaving us with a film that, while commendably brisk in a 100-minute package, refuses to get going at all. Does Joker hold up, then, as a children's film? Not a chance. It's clean, sure, bereft of swearing or innuendo (yet with a sultry item song) but it's also daft. The aliens aren't anything to write home about.

Joker arouses extreme passions. You'll love it or hate it. It's a totally off-the-wall entertainer powered by corny jokes, OTT filmi characters and tongue-in-cheek sequences. If you like that sort of thing, you'll laugh out loud. If you don't, it's not for you.Joker's a 'vegetarian' family dish that overloads the cheesy corn without adding common sense. Watch if you can digest well.

Joker testifies to the power of the star in Bollywood. It is staggeringly inept. I can't imagine that it was persuasive even as a concept.Yet it got made, in all likelihood because Akshay Kumar said yes. The biggest tragedy is that writer-director Shirish Kunder hasn't even made one of those sublimely bad films that become unintentionally funny. Joker is just exhausting. Coming to the basic ingredients in a commercial Hindi film, Joker lacks most of them too. The comedy is so weak that it is almost as if it is non-existent in the drama. Emotions simply fail to touch the heart. Romance is conspicuous by its absence. Drama is irritating. All in all, the audience gets a feeling that it is watching a circus rather than a film – and not just because it is titled Joker!On the whole, Joker is a disaster what with almost nil entertainment value in it. It will go down in box-office history as a colossal waste of time, money and efforts.

Joker is a crude joke of a film that will leave you in tears unless you have a stomach strong enough to digest such unmitigated junk.Occasionally, trash does have its uses in the domain of entertainment. But when it decomposes and turns into putrid garbage, it stinks. Yes, Joker is a load of rubbish that belongs in the dump yard.What Joker delivers in the garbled guise of the genre plumbs such depths of vapidity that it stands no chance of ever coming up for air.Give Joker a miss if you value your sanity and money. It gives commercial Hindi cinema a bad name.

The best thing I can say about Joker is that it’s better than Tees Maar Khan. Listing out the inanities of Joker would take an obnoxiously long amount of time and effort, in addition to the two hours the film saps out of your soul watching it. Unfortunately, Joker isn’t as awful as you expect it to be, falling a few degrees short of entering the ‘So Bad It’s Good’ category.oker, sadly, doesn’t make the cut even there. Total fail.

At one point, a character in ‘Joker’ says : sweet mother of god, what the hell is going on? In my humble opinion, he leaves it too late. I tried saying much the same as soon as the film opens, but I couldn’t get it passed my dropped jaw.even children, especially children, need a story that holds, and characters that engage. This is a film that needed to be fable-like for it to work, but it turns out not even to be a farce. What was Akshay Kumar thinking? What was anyone thinking? Were they, at all?

You can find almost all the known comedians in Joker but their acts depend on the director's instructions.Joker tries hard to keep the momentum going but it needs better acting for that.Aliens, aliens everywhere but not a logic to find.Shreyas Talpade's gibberish works at times. Rest of the actors are either overacting or just delivering their lines.Joker is technically satisfactory but it needed a more meaty story.Overall, Joker is funny in parts. Better acting could have helped it.Joker gets 2 out of 5 for its VFX, Akshay Kumar, Kafirana and Shreyas Talpade's gibberish

Joker’ clearly lacks the ‘wow’ factor which it abundantly promised in the film’s trailer. Entertainment wise, the film really has nothing to offer. but all that has been washed out as the film has come as a big disappointment. The only saving grace is in the form of Akshay Kumar who desperately manages to tether the film’s loose elements into a mediocre fun caper, but even his efforts succumb to the weak plot and utterly mismanaged cast of the film.
