Peabody & Sherman Movie Review

Ratings:2.5/5 Review By: Tushar Joshi Site:DNA
Custom made for kids, this film has a few heart warming moments for grown ups too. The idea to use a journey back in time and the reference to historical figures and monuments is brilliant. Burrell, who is a household name thanks to his popular TV show, is superb in his role as the protective dog. Minkoff's animation team has done a superb job of blending the old with the new. Kids should love this one with its simple message and some colorful animation.

The plot competently balances between child-friendly pranks and contemporary gags aimed at grownups. Visually, the animation and 3D effects are good but not outstanding. All in all, the film takes off on a promising premise, but eventually saddles on a disappointing plateau. But nevertheless, it is an uncomplicated film that would appeal to kids and adults alike. The film would strongly appeal to intelligent kids, their parents and dog lovers, who have a sense of humour.

DreamWorks’ new animated feature film is a treat for all ages, not because it is an animated feature film that makes for a fantastic weekend watch, but because it is educational, witty and touching at the same time. As an adult, you feel transported back to the various time zones in history that you perhaps would only have read in the history books in school or college. As a child, there is a lot of information that can be amassed in 90 minutes that shall come in handy in the child’s formative years. Hence, it is clearly a win-win situation for parents all over.

  1. People can find it quite beneficial for themselves to download flicks at their homes without having to spend unnecessary money on highly priced DVD movies that can either be bought or rented from retail shops. 123movie

  2. Are you movie crazy? No, I don't mean crazy for Harold Lloyd's comedy Movie Crazy from 1932 about a young man with little or no acting ability, desperately trying to be in the movies. I mean, are you crazy for movies period?

  4. Of course a movie buff loves movies. However, this gift selection isn't as obvious as some of you may think. In fact, it could be one of the hardest choices for a movie fan there is. yesmovies

  5. They are sometimes combined with science fiction. Here the menace or monster is related to a corruption of technology, or when Earth is threatened by aliens. The scariest movies show sequences of an old and deserted big palace with no one, but a ghost and a group of people meet him or her in bizarre consequences. These movies are full of special sound effects and light effects. gogoanime

  6. As name suggests each genre of the movie is filled with the named element, such as action with great stunts, comedy with nerve-tickling sequences and like that. Along with traditional genre movie kinds there are also non-genre movie categories. soap2day
