JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY, the love story of a thug, tries to follow the footsteps of MUNNABHAI, but in vain. Besides a heart that pulsates for his sweetheart, depicting the goon as someone with a heart of gold is also mandatory. JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY hinges on a plot that's slimmer than a chip and encompasses everything it has to offer in the first hour itself. But, as luck would have it, it runs out of fuel in the post-interval portions. On the whole, JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY has enjoyable moments, but they are limited to the first hour!Visit Site for more

Vinnil Markan's 'feel-good' goofy 'gangsta' story is told with simplicity and modesty. It's not a slick, stylized gang-fest with shootouts and shenanigans, but an uncomplicated story of a good-goonda who wears his heart (instead of his gun) on his sleeve. The screenplay is average and it waits a while to take-off. And we wish it had a bit more 'Ram Leela' (read: drama in bhai lingo), but overall it entertains. Moral of the story: Even bhais make good boyfriends. Got it, bhai saab?Visit Site for more

On the whole, Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story has an enjoyable first half but a weak second half. At the ticket windows, it will not be able to make its mark because Vivek Oberoi doesn’t have much of a drawing pull, and the initial of the film is very weak everywhere. Its reasonable cost (around Rs. 15-16 crore) and decent recoveries from non-theatrical sources may be points in its favour but the fact remains that the film will fail in the cinemas.Visit Site for more
Movies like Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story makes the job of film reviewers that much difficult. Is JKLS a love story or a gangster watch? Though it's confusing, one doesn't feel like panning it or praising it. The problem with JKLS is that it ties not only the audience but also the actors of the film in a tight knot of which neither the plot nor performances, except Oberoi's, help to break out of.Visit Site for more

The plot that takes two interminable hours to unfold features aimless 'bhais' doing 'filmi bhaigiri' ('tu mera right hand kaise banega, ja pehle usko udaa kar aa'), smarmy would-be employers preying upon innocent young girls, and a lead pair who think eating 'anda bhurji' in rundown Irani cafes is the height of excitement. I believe Oberoi has it in him. Because when he is in earnest, he is an actor that can be watched. But he needs a much better film.Visit Site for more

What’s Good: A tried and tested chemical formula of Rom-Coms. What’s Bad: Uninteresting plot. Shabby acting. Tacky Humor. Loo break: Innumerable. Watch or Not?: No. Sweet humored notoriety suits Munnabhai not Jayantabhai. Carry along pillows and quilt; this movie will treat your Insomnia better than any shrink. A slim story with incorrigible humor just goes on to prove our parents right; we must stay away from bad company – the likes of Jayantabhai! *Poppes a Disprin*Visit Site for more
