Krishna Aur Kans Movie Review
Ratings:2/5 Reviewer:Taran Adarsh Site:Bollywood Hungama
KRISHNA AUR KANS has some gorgeous images, but the feeling of watching an epic unfold on screen is missing. Let's presume, those who go to watch the film are familiar with the story. So the gratification lies in the telling. The problem with KRISHNA AUR KANS is that the movie lacks the dramatic and edge-of-the-seat screenplay. The movie starts off well, but the narrative never rockets. Also, the run time of 2 + hours is a disincentive. On the whole, KRISHNA AUR KANS could've been a fascinating interpretation of a much-loved mythological. However, it turns out to be a strictly okay watch!Visit Site for more

Krishna aur Kans is undisputedly a visual delight (specially in 3D) with psychedelic, vibrant colours, and voiceovers that ain't all that bad. While Om Puri's Kans is convincing as the bad guy calling the shots, Juhi Chawla is perhaps the voice every tween would relate to.Kudos to the filmmakers for bringing to life the very tale of we have all grown up on...and hope the Generation-to-be will grow up on. That is why mommies and daddies are not likely to complain as far as the seen-that-heard-that plot goes.Just one problem: The dialogues. Analyse this: 'Vrishniyo, Anneyadawo, ... and a whole lot shudh Hindi stuff. Come on guys! We are talking (and catering) to a generation-of-hardly-many-words (forget difficult ones) that's growing up on FB... Twitter... SMSing. Wot say u?Visit Site for more

Krishna Aur Kans’ is strictly a children’s film with funny imagination of duels between Krishna and demons sent by Kans. Though Om Puri’s voice gives a hint of his age on high pitched dialogues, still he manages to evoke repulsion in more than one scene. The storyteller doesn’t delve too much into Krishna’s adolescence and it restricts the film from looking matured. Basic storyline is pretty simple. With good production values, ‘Krishna Aur Kans’ is childish but enjoyable, but you really need to avoid the lack of excellence in animation.Marred by average animation, ‘Krishna Aur Kans’ deserves 2 out of 5 for good voice-overs and Putna’s item number.Visit Site for more

One may defend the makers saying you cannot play around with mythological tales. But there’s no excuse for lack of innovation and general boredom. The vision of Krishna Aur Kans is myopic and dumbed down edu-tainment for children. Few sparks of innovation do dot the overall under-whelming imagery. The violence is considerably played down in visuals and Shantanu Moitra’s appropriately composed background score make no discounts.Visit Site for more
