Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara takes the light-hearted tone of a fun, all-boys road trip through Spain to give you a deep and heartfelt message on why we should live life by seizing the moment and following our hearts. What makes Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that much more enjoyable are the performances. But a quibble I have with this film is that it takes too long to reach its destination and gets sidetracked by a couple of sentimental detours. It lingers too long in certain scenarios, and this sucks some of the fun out of the ride. Yet, I’m going with three-and-a-half out of five for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA is real and can be rightly termed as a slice of life film.  In ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA, Zoya chooses an attention-grabbing story and garnishes it well with moments that may seem straight out of a person's memoirs. In fact, it's a completely novel take on comrades and camaraderie. While the first half has several wonderful moments  the post-interval portions -- right till the well-thought-of culmination -- keeps your attention arrested. On the whole, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA has its share of plusses and minuses, highs and lows. It's definitely not for ardent fans of kitsch or those with an appetite for typical masala entertainers. This one's more for spectators with refined tastes and sensibilities.

Zoya Akhtar's Spain odyssey demands just one thing from you: that you slip into adventure mode and then go with the flow.... Rest assured, you're in for a merry ride, with loads of thrills, emotional banter, romance and camaraderie between a host of characters who seem to be having as much fun as you. There seems to be one small little snag however. The first half of the film is low on drama and proceeds as a touristy piece on Spain. It's the second half of the film which emerges as a scintillating insight into friendship, emotional growth and bonding.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has a simple enough narrative core that revolves around the three male protagonists seeking to breakfree from the confines of their respective boxes. Their struggles yield many charming moments although one cannot avoid the sneaking suspicion that this cheerful ode to life, love and friendship is as much about telling a story as about a selling a country to prospective tourists. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara does exude pronounced traces of the spirit of Dil Chahta Hai, but its essential rhythm is its own, stemming from the dynamics of a full-fledged road movie shot through with intelligence, emotion and, above all, humanism.

The threadbare story is about a bachelor trip in Spain, gorgeously shot by cinematographer Carlos Catalan..Zindagi Na Mile Dobara doesn't earn our laughs. So fixated is the film on trying to appear 'cool', even 'minty-fresh,' that the emotional connects all seem like afterthoughts. Especially the flashback each boy has, and their subsequent, convenient epiphany. It's all so surfacial and unnecessary, even when well-performed.Maybe what Zoya really meant by the title is her attempt to cram absolutely everything into a movie in the case that she never gets to make another one.

DCH was a film about a certain kind of privileged young, displaying a certain kind of privileged angst, but it spoke to us. Zindagi Na Mile Dobara is a well-shot road trip, which strings together a series of pretty picture card snapshots, whose characters do not spark or crackle except in stray moments. ZNMD is designed as a feel-good bromance. This could have been a `DCH’ with a bite; it ends up being a good-looking but bland touristy delight.

Watch the flick for some light moments full of fun and laughter. The flick is packed with guy jokes and boys will surely love the humour. There's a feeling of freshness in the movie, thanks to the never seen before cast, definitely something to look out for. The road trip is bound to entertain you to the hilt. The first part is little low on drama, as most of the time the stars are seen checking in and out of the hotels.Barring that, the movie is a very good watch.

Witty dialogue (credited to Farhan himself), playful chitchat and the camaraderie between the friends personify Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. However, the lack of chemistry among them in the first hour cannot be ignored. ZNMD has so many silent moments, it's likely to put you to sleep. Now if you take DCH as the benchmark, it's up to you how slow/polished/boring/unnecessary/pretty you find ZNMD.For those (which, I assume, is a lot of us), who may not be able to afford a holiday in Spain for any time soon, go catch ZNMD for good performances, music, Spain and of course, Farhan Akhtar in his element.
