Judged strictly by action-movie standards, this remake of the Tamil hit 'Kaakha Kaakha' delivers the goods. After all there are some slickly edited hand-to-hand fight sequences, a few breathless chases, and a little too much blood spill. Yet, because of its cardboard characterization and a weak central performance, you're emotionally disconnected from the hero, and never invested in his pain. The only moments that work in this film are the relentless action sequences; and while John Abraham looks good when he flexes, a little loosening up in the dramatic sequences might have helped.I'm going with two out of five for director Nishikant Kamat's 'Force'. FORCE borrows from the masala films of yore that popularized Indian cinema in 1970s and 1980s. Love, romance, deceit, treachery, revenge, loads of action... FORCE has it all. Sure, you may find the plotline clichéd and predictable, but if the film manages to keep you hooked, if the twists and turns are truly interesting, despite the predictable path the story undertakes, the purpose is served. Thankfully, FORCE gets it right! On the whole, FORCE is an engrossing story of vendetta and the execution of the material makes it stand out in the crowd. The film has the requisite amount of zing and force, so essential for action movies that talk of heroism. If you are looking for a sensible masala film with substance, FORCE should most definitely figure on your agenda. Recommended!Visit Site for more

A remake of the 2003 Tamil blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha, Force is a heady cocktail of high powered action and breezy romance that ensure there's never a dull moment.Director Nishikant Kamat too goes the Rohit Shetty-Abhinav Kashyap (Singham-Dabangg) way and tries to create an old-fashioned action film which sticks to the tried-and-tested formula of pitching the hero against the villain in umpteen high testosterone sequences of pure mara-mari. Also, the fact that Force showcases some superb craftsmanship, both in its action and emotional sequences and has a second half that literally hurtles at a frenetic pace, ensures that you never lose interest in the onscreen proceedings.Visit Site for more

Watch: Only if you're desperate to catch some big screen action. Even if you've already seen all the prominent stunts in the promos. Even if it's predictable to the extent where you can tell the exact angle of the next jaw to get punched. Nevertheless, John doing some Ethan Hunt-inspired mountain climbing or the closing combat between a shirtless him and Vidyut is one hundred per cent brawn porn.Here's the thing. For a genre that works purely on moronic logic and one-note screenplay, Force never had much to accomplish in the first place. But its complete lack of individuality or snap makes it a boring, banal, blah and bleak experience.Visit Site for more

What’s Good: The action and stunts; the songs; the acting.What’s Bad: The seemingly uni-dimensional nature of the film; absence of emotions and comedy; the sidelining of the romantic track.Verdict: Force has taken a good start. Its action will see it sail through comfortably. Force has an interesting story line about how love changes the life of a police officer living on the edge. Ritesh Shah’s screenplay is fairly nice but the romantic scenes should’ve been more impactful because it is finally love that changes Yash’s life. While the romance is fresh upto a point in the first half, it is relegated to the sidelines, especially in the post-interval portion.Watch it for the deadly stunts.Visit Site for more

If Force is a half a notch above the average, it’s for the technical sheen.The script strives to be oversmart: since you don’t get any backgrounders to Tattoo or Sweety, they both coo within breathing distance, “I don’t have a back-story.” How convenient is that!In the acting zone, as afore-sighed John Abraham is Wood. Genelia D’Souza, inexpilicably wears a tub of kohl around her eyes, as if she were paying tribute to the late Liz Taylor in Cleopatra.As for debutant baddy, Vidyut Jamwal , he’s in no danger of being called an actor yet, what with excesive jaw-clenching and expressionless visage. While we have seen many super cop versus vicious villain movies recently, a good film is a good film. Force keeps you hooked throughout, may it be in the action sequences or the romance between the two lovebirds.Kamath manages to bring in a reality factor to this adrenalin-pumping action fiesta. This film is perhaps almost on par with the last good cop film Sarfarosh by John Mathew Mathan.The action sequences are breathtaking and thankfully not mindless. ‘For people, who demand three things in any movie- Action, Action and more Action, John’s Force is a tailor-made option available, considering the other releases this week. The movie is dragged in bits and also predictable, excluding a few twists. John’s fans will get to witness his great physique, action and drama.
