Too long by at least thirty minutes, Love Breakups Zindagi is the kind of over-familiar schmaltz that might have felt less of a slog, had it featured charismatic leads with sizzling chemistry. But Zayed Khan and Dia Mirza can’t unfortunately pull off this film’s cliché-ridden screenplay that borrows heavily from the Aditya Chopra/Karan Johar brand of breezy, urban romances.I’m going with two out of five for Love Breakups Zindagi. While Sangha sets things up beautifully in the first hour -- the film has some remarkable sequences that have been filmed with lots of sensitivity -- it's the post-interval portions that blow away the impact generated by those riveting moments. There are reasons why the second half doesn't measure up to the expectations: [i] it relies on clichés, [ii] the climax, though well filmed, is way too predictable and of course, [iii] the film is toooo long [almost 2.40 hours] and worse, sluggish and dawdling paced. On the whole, LOVE BREAKUPS ZINDAGI has moments that leave an impression, but they are few and far between. Besides, a weak second hour, excessive length and sluggish pacing makes it a tedious experience!Visit Site for more

Wait and watch, yes. But what if the wait turns out to be endless and there isn't too much to watch since the plot keeps going round and round in repetitive circles about comings and goings between a bunch of confused people. Ironically, your patience is completely worn out by the first half, which believe it or not, is entirely used to shoot a Punjabi wedding sequence.If you somehow do manage to survive the first half, there's hope.Not quite the perfect debut from Sahil Sangha as director and Dia and Zayed as producers, Love Breakups Zindagi should be treated as a stepping stone to something more substantial -- and original -- from the threesome.Visit Site for more

Love Breakups Zindagi (as expected) is all about love, life, romance, relationships, guilt and a few tears. An abundance of emotions which hopefully will culminate in a win-win situation for several confused characters two and a half hours later. Some songs and dance routines. Wise mothers. Fun-loving grandmothers. A predictable storyline... time to move on.If you like cute, cheesy, breezy love stories then Love Breakups Zindagi is for you.Visit Site for more

Director Sahil Singha doesn't show any innovation in the storytelling of his debut venture but he still has the command to bring a smile on your face, thanks to the breezy romance and the film's optimistic outlook. The film does have a lighthearted mood throughout but one does feel that its sense of humour, though not bad, could have been more fine-tuned and sharp. While being conventional cinema, it isn't essentially exasperatingly cliched. Neither utterly lovely nor breakthrough! LOVE, BREAKUPS, ZINDAGI is a story that is close to everyone's heart, no matter what age you are at. It has as its central theme relationship complications, which are not new to anyone. The movie also dwells on that 'once in a lifetime moment' that you have to be able to grasp and the ultimate move you have to make, no matter what it takes. You may be in love, but is this love? Love Breakups Zindagi is a sheer example of one of those films, which bursts out of the candy floss mould, with no endeavors of adding substance. What adds on to one’s misery is the fact that besides its run of the mill storyline, is the extremely stretched screenplay.Music, performances and direction are strong points to some extent. Poor storyline, non-impactful dialogues and editing are weak points.On the whole, Love Breakups Zindagi is a poor affair right from the word go and can be tolerated only for the feel good factor it offers. Love Breakups Zindagi works in parts but a predictable storyline makes it an average film. The comic factor is also not enough to give the story a new level. The supporting stories also are not clearly stated or developed that could have given it a boost.
