Visit Site for More, 'Faltu' is, for the most part, a dumb comedy about dumb kids partying.If 'Faltu' never works, it’s because the script doesn’t have a shred of integrity. The film doesn’t raise one original argument or convey a definite point of view. The entire movie in fact, appears to be an excuse for the actors to participate in a never-ending string of music videos. And although some of the songs are hummable, by the time the eighth musical set-piece plays out, you’re completely and utterly exhausted.It doesn’t help that the singularly unattractive cast doesn’t have one acting bone between them, and that the film feels much longer than its roughly two hours running time.I’m going with one-and-a-half out of five for 'Faltu'. Getting a root canal is less painful.

Visit Site for MoreThe problem with F.A.L.T.U lies in its tone. It doesn't know whether to unfold as a full blown comedy or take itself seriously by providing some gyan on the education system. Wish it had chosen to remain just funny. Jackky and his buddies hardly represent GenX, even as the elders, specially Akbar Khan, end up as caricatures. Both Arshad and Riteish are totally indifferent as the supporting cast. The only thing to recommend is the music

F.A.L.T.U. is a story of coming of age of today's youth.It tells the story of a group of friends who are considered a total waste. Thanks to their terrible grades, Jackky, Angad and Pooja don't get admission in a college. That's when Jackky gets a brainwave: Why not start a University with the help of his friends? That's how Fakirchand And Lakirchand Trust University [F.A.L.T.U.] takes shape.F.A.L.T.U. gives its take on the educational system, but it's far from serious and preachy. F.A.L.T.U. doesn't claim to be an innovator too. It's a full-on masala film, more of a fun ride, with the real drama setting in only towards its penultimate moments.On the whole, F.A.L.T.U. banks heavily on the formula that the youth loves. It's funny, energetic and has a big ace in its smash hit musical score. I would go to the extent of saying that the movie works because it doesn't pretend to be path-breaking. Debutant director Remo D’Souza’s F.A.L.T.U is a singularly low IQ reworking of the 2006 Justin Long comedy Accepted, about a slacker who isn’t accepted into any college and so he creates his own.The first half of F.A.L.T.U is spent in foolish frolicking.In the second half, F.A.L.T.U becomes a paean to the importance of alternate education, not conforming to the prescribed path and following your heart.So the loser kids become winners by doing what they love – from fashion to cooking to fitness.Stray bits of F.A.L.T.U feel sincere but the film is so staggeringly moronic that you walk out completely exhausted.Visit Site for More

Most of FALTU is pleasing. Although the premise is unrealistic, to stretch the parameters that decide authenticity, the movie convinces you, and moreover, even in its fabricated fashion, it does succeed in confronting the flaws in our educational scenario.Although FALTU's screenplay is openly lifted from Accepted, as the movie terminates it takes its own course resulting into an unexpectedly charming climax that metaphorically demonstrates the teething troubles of students stuck in a just passed to an average category. An ambitious sophomore story of scholastically dim students coursing an almost impossible journey to prove their worth, enrolling for once in FALTU, might not be a faltu idea after all.Visit Site for More

The screenplay could have done with more plausibility. The film reminds too much of 3 Idiots but reaches nowhere near it. The screenplay (by Tushar Hira and Mayur Puri), like the story, is good only upto a point. Things become too simplistic and serious after interval. Even in the first half, they are simplistic but because the thrust is on comedy then, one doesn’t mind it. However, when things take a slightly serious turn after interval, the simplistic nature of the drama begins to irritate a bit. If you are a college-goer, or an on-the-verge-of-college teen, chances are you might enjoy ‘F.A.L.T.U’. Those older, venture in at your own risk, but again, chances are that you might be mildly entertained, at least some of the time. This is another foursome, but they manage to make us smile through their asinine plan : if no decent college will have you, why, just dream up one of your own, and pass it off as a bona-fide institution. Pretty much like 3 Idiots, Faltu also attempts to bring respect to its irreverent title and propagate the message to follow your dreams, turn your hobby into profession and do what you want to do rather than mugging up lessons in classrooms. The intentions of the film might be as much noble but the approach appears juvenile at instances. While it smartly targets average to below-average students whose results range in the 35% to 70% bracket, a majority across all streams, the solutions that it offers might seem gratifying.Tthough not as easily achievable as the film claims.Faltu is much better than the preachy Paathshaala but doesn't come anywhere close to 3 Idiots. Watch it as an inspirational film and you will be disappointed. Watch it as a time-pass campus-comedy and you will be able to sit through it.Visit Site for More
