True. Dhoondte hi reh jaoge, for that side-splitting comedy that's supposed to give you paisa-vasool entertainment. Though, to be honest, if you still keep looking -- and manage to sit through the tedious first-half -- you might glean a few laughs in the second half, when the film actually tries to spoof all the successful Bollywood films from Sholay to Lagaan.

We loved Kunal Khemu from the time we saw him in Zakhm to even Dhol, but maybe it's time for a break. Or maybe, he should just re-learn a few acting tips from his previous films.Paresh Rawal has done some fantastic films fantastically. And that's why one can't help but wonder why he would sign up a film like Dhoondhte that has absolutely nothing going for it.Director Umesh Shukla -- a theatre actor and director -- should perhaps re-learn the skill before he decides to inflict us with another film

Credible comedies have become a rare species in Bollywood. Ask for one and the answer is Dhoondte Reh Jaoge.Silly as it may sound, Dhoondte Reh Jaoge is the story of a bunch of buffoons who set out to calculatedly make a flop film. Ironically the actual producer of this film (UTV) would have obviously started with intentions to make a hit but Dhoondte Reh Jaoge is the perfect planned recipe for a flop.

The journos were laughing their hearts out at this one, as they know how the industry works. The same reason why most liked Luck By Chance. But for the masses, if you were a fan of Govinda-like funny flicks and can put your brain aside for a few laughs irrespective of the production values, the film won't disappoint you.

It’s a bit like one of those MTV spoofs, and whaddya know, they’ve even got the guy who does the TV take-off on Sanjeev Kumar’s Thakur in Sholay. But the movie gets so progressively atrocious that after a point you’re not sure what’s spoof and what’s not. And the climax is a complete howler, except that by then, you can’t even laugh at the banality of it all.
