Vaada Raha, directed by Samir Karnik is a cheesy, emotionally manipulative, sob-saga that doesn't even deserve a straight-to-television release.Sickeningly sentimental, Vaada Raha is full of logical loopholes and is directed with a loose hand by Karnik, who gives us some of the most ridiculous scenes you can think of.The film is packed with silly stereotypes like faithful dog who won't eat till his master does, cheery hospital staff straight out of a Sooraj Barjatya film, and happy patients who don't seem to ever want to leave the hospital at all.I'm going with one out of five for director Samir Karnik's Vaada Raha. Do yourself a favour. Don't even bother with this one

Samir Karnik's forte has been emotions and VAADA RAHA displays his prowess yet again, but the writing bogs him down.Despite the faulty script, Samir Karnik's handling of a few sequences is commendable. Binod Pradhan's cinematography is top notch. Music is a letdown. What does stand tall in VAADA RAHA is Bobby Deol's super performance. This is his most accomplished work to date!.On the whole, VAADA RAHA stands on a faulty script. Besides, the lack of hype will make the effort go unnoticed.

Sameer Karnik, who made the immensely watchable Heroes, picks up a nice subject. The dilemmas faced by doctors when they become patients, is an interesting premise. But his treatment is excessively slow and melodramatic. Despite its emotional moments, most of the scenes are predictable. Even the wannabe-shocking climax isn't exactly surprising. You can sense it early on. Vaada Raha has heart. But its script lacks enough life to keep it beating.
