CHASE begins with a high-octane chase and what follows are several twists-n-turns, before the jigsaw puzzle is solved. But the question is, does CHASE provide those adrenaline-pumping moments? Nope, it doesn't! The problem is, the writing relies too heavily on the tried-n-tested stuff, which robs this thriller of those thrilling moments. The sole aspect you carry home after watching CHASE are the high-octane chase sequences, especially the one at the very start of the film. Otherwise, CHASE harps on the age-old plot.Director Jag Mundhra has shot a few sequences well, but the writing doesn't hold.Final word? CHASE is akin to soda. Opens with a lot of fizz, but falls flat thereafter!

Last week, Jagmohan Mundra gave us Apartment. This week, he comes up with Chase. Prolific, isn't he? But hey, what's the use of being so productive, if you can't maintain quality control! Chase is a thriller which goes low on the thrill quotient. The plot is convoluted and tries to take in too much: terrorism, corruption, romance, patriotism, the BSF, the cops, the builder mafia....All this while our hero lies in a coma and the nurse tries to prove him wrong by stripping and dancing before him.No, this Chase ain't going anywhere and might just end up in a blind alley.

Last week, Jag Mundhra unleashed `The Apartment’ upon us. Barely had we recovered, he’s back with `Chase’. A suspected terrorist is on the run and everyone is after him. That’s why, dear readers, the film is called what it is. More bad guys crop up. So does an evil businessman ( Kapoor). This last worthy is the reason why `Chase’ may be of interest to those interested in trivia : Aditya Raj Kapoor is the legendary Yahoo boy Shammi’s middle-aged son, making a splash in the movies. Only if you know will you notice the resemblance. He’s a pale copy of his flamboyant father. All we can say is that we wish he had desisted.
