ZOR LAGAA KE... HAIYA has its share of interesting moments and Ashwin Chitale contributes to making this film an interesting exercise. Portions that depict the gang befriending him, his plight, his tricks and how he gets them out of trouble, keep your interest alive. At the same time, ZOR LAGAA KE... HAIYA has its share of unexciting moments. On the whole, ZOR LAGAA KE... HAIYA is a good idea gone wrong. It, therefore, holds limited chances

It could have been great fun and full of fundas too. But once again, the director falls prey to the persistent malady that seems to affect most people who want to make a children's film in India. Too much bhashan, loads of gyaan and a tone that talks down to the young viewer.Go for the message and for a funny goon show by Mahesh Manjrekar.

Much against its diminutive stature and deceptive title, Zor Lagaa Ke... Haiya is a big-hearted children’s film that could educate adults on ecosystems.Zor Lagaa Ke... Haiya does get shallow on its social scope and, to an extent, also has the trappings of a Pogo channel TV show. But otherwise the film is a decent attempt with dignified intentions. The film fruitfully adds life to a wooden concern

The way the story is presented is quite different and appealing. Whenever the kids face a problem, they transform themselves into fictional dream characters to find a solution. But someone somewhere probably wanted to turn this didactic children's film to a multiplex masala entertainer…and there goes all the charm! Thus what could have been a charming film ends up being a mish-mash of nothing. The good performances are surely noticed. But too many unnecessary threads spoil the fun of this kiddie flick.Kids may like it. You may want to take them to this one on a Sunday afternoon.
