Directed by theatre actor-director Makarand Deshpande, the film is constructed around an interesting premise – our obsession with celebrities – but it never rises above its one-line. Deshpande's film has a taste for the unusual, but can't seem to pull itself out of an abysss of silliness. Deshpande shows a glimmer of promise, particularly in his convincing representation of secondary characters, but the story runs out of steam quite early on.I'm going with one-and-a-half out of five for Makarand Deshpande's Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu. It's common knowledge that a majority of films fail because the writing is sketchy and sloppy. SHAHRUKH BOLA "KHOOBSURAT HAI TU" is no different. SHAHRUKH BOLA "KHOOBSURAT HAI TU" comes across as a disjointed and incoherent effort which appeals in bits and spurts. Clearly, the fault lies in the written material.The viewers are introduced to several characters in the film, which attempt to take the story forward. But barring the lead pair, the character sketch of the remaining characters is half-baked, which explains why the film appeals in bits and pieces. On the whole, SHAHRUKH BOLA "KHOOBSURAT HAI TU" is more of an experiment that will go unnoticed.Visit Site for More

This one's a small, experimental film that delves into the psyche of the archetypal Bollywood fan who transmutes the object of his devotion -- a movie star -- into a demi-god. A smart little fable that kinda explains why Indians erect temples for their favourite stars or write fan mail to them in blood. With Shah Rukh Bola...he makes an interesting debut as a film director and holds out promise for the future. The film does have a few rough edges and needs a bit of editing. But it exudes a sense of novelty that keeps the moments ticking.Visit Site for More
