Love Khichdi has style, wit and that dirty five-letter word, heart. In the latter part of the second half, the movie tends to drag. Perhaps trimming it by 15 minutes would have made it crisper; just like one of those dishes that Vir rustles up. Nonetheless, it's a swell date flick. And, like the film's protagonist, don't hesitate to lie if your partner predicts your sun sign wrong after the lights come on.

Try stretching a rubber band beyond a point and it's bound to snap. Try stretching a waferthin story and it's bound to blow apart too. That's precisely the problem with LOVE KHICHDI. Frankly, LOVE KHICHDI is a collage of romantic moments assembled by director Srinivas Bhashyam. LOVE KHICHDI looks at the various women who flit in and out of the protagonist's life. It's a metro-centric concept that could've worked well if [a] the assorted women wouldn't appear and disappear randomly and [b] the narrative had been limited to 1.30 hours, instead of 2 + hours.
These two factors make this khichdi far from appetising.

It's really unclear what writer-director Srinivas Bhashyam wanted to show in this sleazy film. Love Khichdi is anything but a cute love story.But the weakest link in this whole enterprise is our leading man, completely miscast in this role. He tries to be funny but falls terribly short. He doesn't even look like the 26-year-old character that he's playing. He looks much older.Saurabh Shukla is probably the saving grace of this tasteless comedy. But he's still not enough for you to make the trip to watch Love Khichdi.

What makes Love Khichdi worse is the fact that it's shockingly chauvinistic. Hooda's character seems to be a figment of some teenager's hormonal imagination put on the screen because someone had a lot of money to burn. The whole domestic help fantasy is especially in bad taste.Love Khichdi is supposed to be a comedy. Unfortunately the film takes itself seriously and that is where it fails miserably.Love Khichdi is so terrible, you wouldn't want anyone to know you've watched it.
