Merle Kröger and Onir have written a story which is intriguing but also confusing. There are too many interrelated tracks in the story and although they are fairly interesting, they give the feeling that they are leading to nowhere. The duo’s screenplay engages the audience upto a point but the fact that almost every character is either unhappy or depressed doesn’t make for happy viewing. On the whole, Shab has such limited appeal that it will go largely unnoticed except in a handful of cinemas in the country.Visit Site For More

Onir, with cinematographer Ashish Bisht, has shot Delhi beautifully. It’s interesting how the filmmaker seasons in the city to show what the characters are going through. We need filmmakers like him to have conversations about subjects like same-sex relationships, single mothers, but he needs to have his objective clear.Visit Site For More

Blame it on the sloppy screenplay and flimsy characterisation, but not a single character elicits any sort of emotional response -- good or bad. The conflicts are dispassionately resolved in Shab, shooting down its already negligible emotional quotient to nil. What lingers on in evasive, vague, plodding and forcibly melancholic.Visit Site For More

Shab certainly isn't without its share of flaws, but the deliciously cryptic style that it employs in the elucidation of intricate human relationships makes it an irresistibly intriguing tale. Watch it because Shab is a rare Hindi film that respects its audience and lets them to work their way through the maze.Visit Site For More

This is not a family entertainer or a film which everyone would like to watch. But if you are enthusiastic about stories dealing with the complexities of relationships in the urban life and can sit through boring films then you might like this.Visit Site For More

Ashish has an air of innocence about his presence that adds to the credibility of his character and makes his efforts shine through.Shab is a dark, haunting film about human emotions, relationships, love and betrayal that thrive in a rather opportunistic and materialistic world of Delhi’s elite society.Visit Site For More
Shab Story:
This film is about lives of people who live on the edge of what society finds acceptable. It is about coming to terms with oneself and accepting other people as they are. The film is set in the cosmopolitan city of Delhi where people from all over the country come to fulfill their dreams. For some, these dreams are realized, while others remain in an endless pursuit of other elusive dreams. Perhaps it is the hope of ultimately reaching that destination that keeps one going. And then there are others who surrender to the overwhelming power of the city of dreams and get lost in the maze.Shab Release Date:
