There was an innocence and naivete that Salman Khan and director David Dhawan brought to the admittedly pedestrian plot involving a pair of lookalike twins separated at birth. But the same ideas feel jaded now. David, who has directed the new film too, does a mostly copy-paste job without making allowances for changing times and tastes. There’s no question that if there had to be a remake of Judwaa, it had to have Varun Dhawan. The more important question is – did there really have to be a remake of Judwaa in the first place?I’m going with two out of five. I laughed a few times.Visit Site For More

The crux of the story is the same as that of the old Judwaa. Although there is no logic in the story, it is made up of so many funny incidents and anecdotes that it keeps the audience in good spirits. On the whole, Judwaa 2 is a hit as it will appeal to all sections of the audience – youth, masses, families and even a good chunk of the classes. It will score in multiplexes and single-screen cinemas and in ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ class centres. The first four-day weekend (with holiday for Dassera tomorrow (30th) and for Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October)) will ensure that the film easily crosses the Rs. 100-crore mark in its second week.Visit Site For More

The 90s are back and it’s not pretty. Once again, heroes are macho, leering Casanovas who make show-stopping entries, heroines are cheerful bimbos who heave and thrust in all directionsBut this could have had so much more sparkle. Judwaa 2 brims with talented actors and everyone - including the heroines Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu, comic side-kick Rajpal Yadav, Pavan Malhotra, Zakir Hussain and Anupam Kher, who at least gets to wear nice sweaters – deserved better. .Visit Site For More

Watching Judwaa 2 is like taking a Salman Khan appreciation class. His presence looms large over every single frame of the remake -- sometimes in anticipation of catching a lucky glimpse -- a hankering that only grows as you witness Varun Dhawan’s dedicated impersonation of the star. Judwaa 2’s balloon of recycled gas soon goes phus and what’s left is tedious buffoonery of the brainless, for the brainless and by the brainless.Visit Site For More

I like young Dhawan. I enjoy his work in movies as disparate as Badlapur and Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, but in Judwaa 2 he isn't allowed to do his own thing. Instead, he's trying to match a marvellously inane Salman Khan performance. Bad move. That sleaziness came so much easier to Salman. Perhaps because he wasn't copying anyone. Salman shows up in Judwaa 2 as well, tight tee-shirt and everything, and, even twenty years later, puts this unnecessary remake in its place. All we have here is a weak cover version.Visit Site For More

The film’s story is a no-brainer but works for the intended audience. Yunus Sajawal’s screenplay is effective and entertaining. But it could have been better and a lot more imaginative in certain places, especially in the second half. On the whole, JUDWAA 2, despite all the goofs, flaws and clichés, comes across as a decent paisa-vasool entertainer. At the box office, it has the potential to keep the cinegoers happy as it is quite massy and audiences have been deprived of quality content since a long time.Visit Site For More

For a comedy whose plot would make a wafer look thin, the lines have to be razor sharp, and delivered in just the right rhythm. This is where the director falters, even as his son tries his best to give us two for the price of one on the other end of the screen. But the material gets too thin and stretched around Judwaa 2’s flab. This is strictly the Multiplex Millennial Two Point Oh version.Visit Site For More

As mentioned earlier, the script of Judwaa 2 offers nothing new in terms of the story or situations. All the characters from Judwaa have been recreated and re-played by new ones. Even the new characters which one gets to see in Judwaa 2 are either insignificant or holds no strong ground of their own. the film is a must watch for all the zillion plus fans (mostly Gen-Next) of Varun Dhawan. Judwaa 2. But, for the rest of the gang, watching the original Judwaa a thousand times over will serve you more good.Visit Site For More

When you enter the movie hall for this outing, remember to let your hair down and guffaw because from the opening scene itself you're familiar with the tropes. Lame lyrics, loud gags and leggy lasses never really hurt anyone. Believe me, at one point, you're tempted to join Varun when he is doing those perfect pelvic thrusts. Judwaa 2 could be a substitute for your Dussehra party. Consult Salman, even he sportingly shows up in a cameo in the end.Visit Site For More

Judwaa 2 introduces the millennial to a gem from the ‘90s. Amid crazy pointless debates of feminism and empowerment, we must revisit these gems from yesteryears so that we can remind our current generations that it's ok, it's completely alright to slap a woman's butt, kiss her forcibly and joke about how we would grab them. Judwaa 2 is also your guide for dummies in writing fun lines for a film. The hard work is evident. It takes a great deal of labour to go through whatsapp jokes and string them into dialogues.Visit Site For More

This is an update of 1997 Salman Khan-starring Judwaa that had cheesy jokes delivered with great conviction by the superstar. It was a monstrous hit, but trying to milk that old formula and trying to ride on its steam by recycling old jokes was a terrible idea.Everybody in Judwaa 2 overacts, and the dialogues feel like they were written by an adolescent for his high school drama. Barring few jokes that land, the majority of the gags fail to evoke any emotion.Watch this at your own risk.Visit Site For More
