Good thing director Jon Favreau has the answer. In refashioning Disney’s seminal hit in live action, using the latest computer effects and a whole ensemble of Hollywood A-listers to provide voice-work, Favreau creates an entirely immersive world and a visually stunning film that brings something new to an old story.I’m going with four out of five for The Jungle Book. It’s a stunning visual achievement, and one that reminds you why you fell in love with these characters all those years ago. Don’t miss it.

The Jungle Book is a classic genre film that harnesses the inherent strengths of the source material to rustle up a captivating drama that is both epic and intimate. Is it scary, as Pahlaj Nihalani would have us believe? Not the least bit, if one discounts a scene in which Shere Khan lunges at Mowgli. For sure, there isn't a dull moment in The Jungle Book. It is a film for children and adults alike. Not to be missed.

If you go to the cinema to watch a movie that will draw you into a fantasy world of wonder, Favreau's retelling of this story - which so many of us remember from childhood - manages to weave that magic. But more than anything, the intricate landscaping, masterful camerawork and environment (actually filmed in Downtown Los Angeles) create a delightfully immersive experience. Heartwarming and enjoyable.

Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book is a hugely entertaining film with a nod to the 1967 classic, but yet very different in mood and texture. The new film, based on Justin Marks' screenplay (his only feature film credit to date is the 2009 Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li), is a thrilling adventure that will remind viewers of the edge-of-the-seat moments from films like steven Spielberg's The Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park (the first one) and Peter Jackson's 2005 remake of King Kong. Under Favreau's guidance The Jungle Book -- entirely shot in the Disney studios in the suburbs of Los Angeles -- is the right product for our times.

This is The Jungle Book reinvented for 2016 by a director who knows just how to mix the heavy blows with the light touch. It’s a little more reminiscent of the jungle and the book than the 1967 Disney classic, a lot, lot darker, and yet, ultimately as exuberant, with a surprisingly strong and novel message at the heart of it, in a story that already didn’t lack for them.

Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book is visually immersive, coloured with nostalgia for most of us and a truly mesmerizing experience. It leaves you spellbound with its story, execution and most of all, Neel Sethi’s spot on act. What’s Bad: You are left cringing for more! We wish Kaa’s character was given more screen time with a murkier representation.

One would expect a sweet fun filled adventure, especially with Disney remaking everyone's favourite childhood story. But THE JUNGLE BOOK is far from it. In fact the film that combines live action with impeccable CGI animation is quite literally a visual masterpiece. Overall, THE JUNGLE BOOK is a shining example of phenomenal filmmaking, transporting the viewer to a different world. Complete with a riveting plot combined with VFX and 3D that makes you jump, THE JUNGLE BOOK is definitely a must watch.

More than the kids, it’s the parents who will enjoy this movie more. And we have to thank Jon Favreau for making us relive our childhood. This is one of the best Jungle Book adaptions on screen and also one of the best live action motion-capture films I have seen in years. Just wondering how Warner Bros will top this with their version of the book that will come next year. The summer holidays just started off with a bang!
