47 Ronin Review
The unwavering devotion to honour - in this case, the Bushido code - is the conceptual thread that ties this whole film together. The movie mixes many elements, but the overall tapestry looks good. An American-accented Kai amongst hardcore Japanese warriors is not jarring. Magical lands and sorcery add to the movie's mythic structure. While Mika is suitably simpering, the witch is delightfully evil and is a pleasure to watch. As for Reeves, his lines are minimal, but his swordplay does all the talking.Note: You may not like this film if you don't like action movies.Visit Site for more

You wait for something to happen throughout 47 Ronin. The stage is set. You get that creeping feeling of déjà vu. Parts of the film remind you of The Matrix, Constantine and Dungeons and Dragons. You almost think you saw a glimpse of Seven Samurai and The Last Samurai while the frames flash by. But your wait ends and delivers nothing but pain, frustration and heartbreak -- but mostly importantly, an empty wallet. Don’t bother with 47 Ronin if you’ve already seen the 2:31 minute trailer, the rest of the 116.69 minutes can be ignored.Visit Site for more

Unfortunately, 47 Ronin makes for a supremely tedious film with all the elements of a good action film albeit a Samurai film, but one that falls flat due to an incapability of meeting its expectations. Although the film isn’t totally unwatchable, with the bushido code in place, with the lore in place and told the way it unfolds, the added attractions. Maybe Keanu Reeves has so been loved as Neo that accepting him as Kai is a bit difficult. All in all, it is a one-time watch. But that’s all. Nothing to take home.Visit Site for more
