While the film's heart is in the right place, preachy dialogues and modest production values don't help. We appreciate the filmmaker's noble intention of raising awareness among masses and the rural audience in particular about issues like child labour and child trafficking. Charfutiya Chhokare is an utterly disjointed film parading as a social commentary on the depravities of rural Bihar. The title refers to three tiny teen criminals looking to wreck havoc in an exaggerated manner (slow-motion runs with guns) far displaced from the gritty reality of underage terrorism in Blood Diamond. Even earthy Rajasthani folk voices or Wikipedia statistics before the end credits cannot redeem an effort that would look best as a newspaper headline.Visit Site for more

The three little boys roam the countryside carrying guns like they would carry ‘gulli-dandas’, and we would feel for these kids who are forced into criminal activity at such a young age if there was anything remotely believable about the film. Not one thing rings true. Not the leading lady, togged out in spotless shirts and slacks doing NGO-giri, not the young chokras (Mayar is the endearing young fellow from ‘I Am Kalam’), and not the bad ‘uns.Visit Site for more

Low budget cannot be the reason to make bad films and frankly it has nothing to do with a film’s soul. Chaarfutiya Chhokare is a soul-less movie that is badly shot, largely incoherent and has terrible actors who over dramatize the matter at hand. No one except Seema Biswas worked for me. Too desperate to be gritty, the film lacks both depth and authenticity. I wish I had any kind words to say but this is a misfired product that despite its good intentions fails to deliver.Visit Site for more
