Main Aur Mr Riight Hindi Movie Reviews
Ratings:1.5/5 Review By: Renuka Vyvahare Site:Times of India (TOI)
Review: If you fancy American romcoms, you would be able to predict the ending of this film right at the beginning. It has drawn inspiration from various films, the most prominent being Jennifer Aniston-starrer Picture Perfect (1997). Television actor Barun Sobti makes his Bollywood debut here and is probably the only saving grace of this film.Visit Site for more

MAIN AUR MR. RIIGHT technically becomes the debut film of director Adeeb Rais. He however has a long way go to become an impressive filmmaker. While the first half of the film is still bearable (mostly because of the establishment of the characters), the second half of the film is unwontedly stretched and seems to be going nowhere. The direction is amateurish with poor shot taking, bad performances and cliched story telling. Overall, the film has no story or script to boost of and poor direction makes it ever worse. On the whole, MAIN AUR MR. RIIGHT can be avoided without any regrets.Visit Site for more

Main Aur Mr Riight is an a desi-fied, darker and deeply deranged version of the Debra Messing-Dermot Mulroney starrer The Wedding Date. I wish I could tell you about things like direction, script or talent but I would have to see some of that myself. Bappi Lahiri's music comes across as juvenile. Barun Sobti fares better than his costars in the acting department. Main aur Mr Riight is a tad too pretentiously philosophical to be taken seriously.Visit Site for more

Miss Perfect looking for Mr Right: standard rom com schtick gets played out in ‘Main Aur Mr Riight, with a couple of nice touches, but it never lifts off the screen. I liked that Shenaz Treasurywala‘s character is allowed to have a little thing with a guy in their group, and that a lonely wife moves on with a former love, leaving the always busy-busy spouse to his devices. Sobti gets the hungry-actor look right, but the smiley Treasurywala needed to be deeper. So did the film.Visit Site for more

Who are these people, and how/where/why do they exist? When incompetent acting marries awful writing ("Go back to being my wife tomorrow morning!"), it makes for a critic's worst nightmare. Only a critic, because frankly, no sane viewer would dare to tolerate 130 minutes of swanky unintentional comedy.Visit Site for more

Going by the title, it’s quite evident that this film is all about a girl’s pursuit of her ideal man. But it isn’t. Main Aur Mr Right has much more to offer owing to several interesting elements — not just in terms of its story — that come across as a whiff of breath air. The sad part is they fizzle out either due to lack of depth in execution or plain ignorance concerning stark loopholes. A tighter film, featuring actors who can actually act, would have served the script better.Visit Site for more
