Frozen  English Movie Review

Ratings:3.5/5 Review By: Rajeev Masand Site:Masand's Verdict (CNN-IBNlive)
Disney's new animated fairytale Frozen has endearing characters, some good-natured comedy, a bunch of show-stopping musical numbers, and gorgeous visuals. This is not your typical good vs evil battle, but in fact a story that reflects the complications of real life. Given that they're both inspiring tales of girl power, Frozen is a far more enjoyable film than Pixar's Oscar-winning Brave from last year. This is a film that has enough to please the little ones and adults alike. I'm going with three-and-a-half out of five for Frozen. It'll melt your heart.

Frozen redefines Disney's quintessential 'true love' theory. Even if you are not into fairy-tales, you'll love this one for it's unpredictable and thus keeps you engaged throughout. It's not about seeking happiness with someone else, but being happy with who you truly are. There's a lovely line that Olaf, the snowman, says in the film - Some people are worth melting for. Likewise, even if you are not too fond of snow, some love stories are worth freezing for! Do not miss out on this magical journey of love and self-discovery.

Without a doubt, Frozen is Disney’s most visually spectacular and enjoyable film since 1994’s The Lion King. It’s obviously not as good as the latter, but it is way more entertaining than 2010’s fun Tangled. The filmmakers also subvert the old good-vs-evil storytelling gambit with a grown up, astute sensibility and yet is still fun enough to keep the kids entertained. There’s plenty of jaw dropping large scale animation, which is not terrible in 3D but will most definitely be better in 2D. This has been a pretty very weak year for CG animation movies and Disney shows them all who the boss is. Watch it on the most gigantic screen that you can find.

The 3Din Frozen is just sunning. Those expecting a brand new story with an unique twist in the climax might be disappointed. Most of what you see on screen is very traditional and safe in keeping with the genre. Also the sketching and appearance of the characters is a bit stereo typed. The core audiences that will be most pleased with the tone of the film are teenage girls who will possibly identify with Anna and Elsa’s track.A must watch for a fans of animation classics, Frozen has everything going for it – beautiful visuals, melodious sound track and a heartwarming story line.
