Tum Bin 2 is competently mounted, visually lush and musically strong. But in terms of substance, this sequel is too long and too bland to be able to recapture the dramatic traction of the original tearjerker, which, too, had no star power. There are times when Tum Bin 2 turns pretty corny. The audience might not be overly dukhi with Tum Bin 2, especially owing to its commendably sophisticated soundtrack. But this sequel is unlikely to have anybody asking for more.

On the whole, Tum Bin II will flop at the box-office in spite of hit music because it has nothing more to offer except very good songs.

It's one thing to be sentimental about your first feature film but to oversell it as a brand like director Anubhav Sinha tries in Tum Bin II is taking things too far. Tum Bin II's out-dated twists, needless complications and comical confusion over the sacrificial lamb prolongs the rona dhona by a good half an hour and still cannot settle who loves whom or if at all.

Tum Bin 2 is neither a sequel, nor a sob fest but Anubhav Sinha’s tribute to his own 2001 surprise hit ‘Tum Bin’. The second instalment is an earnest remake of the original with a few minor twists. Despite the odds, if you like old-fashioned love stories with great music, Tum Bin 2 is a partially heartrending tale that can be watched for its beautiful message and sincere execution.

One of the things that does not work in the film written and directed by Anubhav is the lead female character. While Pia (Sandali) was a rather strong character in the first film and preferred carrying herself on her own despite her early loss (of her fiancee), Taran (Neha Sharma) -- our lead character in Tum Bin 2 -- is a fragile, emotional wreck who needs a shoulder to cry upon and a guy to drive her around on business. The lead actors are not convincing -- neither in dialogue delivery nor in emoting.

The screenplay of TUM BIN 2 (Anubhav Sinha) seems heavily inspired by TUM BIN. It’s a typical conventional story that has been witnessed in Bollywood before. On the whole, TUM BIN 2 is a decent love triangle with a lengthy second half. At the Box Office, the film will turn out to be an earning proposition for its makers, considering the fact that a substantial amount of the production and marketing costs have been recovered from the sale of various rights.

Tum Bin is a shiny bright red balloon that is floating upwards towards a pointed needle. You want a gush of wind to sway away the balloon from its path, but fate and the director has other plans. Overall, Tum Bin 2 is sweet, well acted, and heightens its impact with the beautiful music. Watch it for sure if you swear by PS I Love You, Aashiqui 2, The Fault in Our Stars and such.

When a film doesn’t have a plot, even good performances can’t save it from sinking. ‘Tum Bin 2’ is like any other love triangle story and seems more like a holiday trip for the film’s team. The only good thing about 'Tum Bin 2' is its melodious music, good-looking actors and their fair performances. If you think this is how a love story is supposed to be, trust me, you wouldn’t want to have one. We advise you to watch ‘Tum Bin 2’ with a box full of tissues!

Two guys, one girl, and the mess they can create amongst themselves may be the oldest story in the book, but it can quite easily be refreshed given the right story and treatment. Unlike the first one which brought these elements together nicely, it doesn’t happen here, despite some well executed moments.

A few light moments between the family and the songs are few of the better things in the film. The overstretched climax nearly kills you. Also, since none of the three lead actors knows how to act, there is a constant discomfort.Skip! There is no romance but only forced emotion in Tum Bin 2. Easily, the prequel would still after 15 years make a better watch.
