The Transporter Refueled smells like a hack job at best, a lazy attempt to cash in on a successful brand. Leading man Ed Skrein can act and looks the part too, but he’s got very little personality.I’m going with two out of five. Bring Statham back. Or inject something fresh into these movies.

Camille 'Brick Mansions' Delamarre was expected to helm-kick this refuel in an attempt to get the rehash business in top-gear but the dubious action, poor structuring, unaffecting performances, digitised edit-heavy stunt action and jumpy camerawork just doesn't allow for any great involvement.

Even the one-to-one scuffle is much too monotonous and mundane; you see far better action on television nowadays.Unless a 95-minute long excuse to advertise Audi, Omega or Apple is your idea of a mindless action movie, steer clear of this mechanical junk.

Frank Martin steps into Jason Statham's signature role in this new installment of the Transporter action franchise, to mixed results. Martin does his level best to act like and even talk in a manner that Statham almost patented, in the previous iterations of the movie. But while Statham looked like a genuinely rough-and-tough bruiser, Martin comes across as more at home on the pages of a fashion magazine. While his efforts are sincere, he's not as effective as Statham.

The Transporter Refueled presents more gloss than ever before. In certain scenes, you may find yourself wondering if you are watching a high-end commercial and a particularly violent one but hey it is still the film. If the classy-looking action stunts work for you, this film could turn out fun for you. This film is Jason Statham-less! If you can get over this fact that Statham has been replaced by a younger Ed Skrein, who cannot replicate the former’s cold-blooded nature, kudos to you.

Even though the film has a predictable storyline, it never bores you. It’s shot across beautiful locations and has some cool action sequences. At a runtime of a little over ninety minutes, it’s definitely worth a watch.
