It's virtually impossible to resist the charm of 'Big Hero 6', the new film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, at whose center is the touching relationship between a young boy and an oversized inflatable robot.I'm going with three-and-a-half out of five for 'Big Hero 6'. You'll be chuckling throughout, and 95 minutes will fly by.

Big Hero 6 is a meet-the-characters origin story (something one of the characters realises midway through) but directors Don Hall and Chris Williams imbue the proceedings with such giddy joy and great characters that you soon realise the yada-yada-yada is the best part. This is a gorgeous, vibrant, mostly irresistible movie, one mostly for the kids but also one I dare you middle-aged grouches to not grin at. It's mad fun, and Disney hasn't made anything this good in a while.

Big Hero 6 attempts to breathe cinematic life into a group of lesser-known Marvel characters, and most definitely succeeds in doing so. Big Hero 6 also provides many moments of genuine sweetness. Furthermore, as apart from other superhero fare, the most powerful weapons in the arsenal are that of kindness, compassion and - as is the case with Baymax - healing. Definitely a delightful film with its heart in the right place.

Big Hero 6 makes animated action movies fun for the whole family. You can watch this from start to finish and go back to watching it all over again, just to find out that it has gotten better upon second watch. Disney has delivered big time. However, it has now been done without playing to the crowd. That is the best part of the movie, a story that is amazing, visuals that are stupendous, humor that will leave you giggling, and excitement that will make you whoop. Do not miss this movie. Big Hero 6 is just what the doctor ordered.
