THE FILM EMOTIONAL ATYACHAR is a road movie, plus black comedy rolled into one. The characters in the film are either grey or black and each is out to double cross the other. Quite an interesting thought, isn't it? Like JOHNNY GADDAAR, THE FILM EMOTIONAL ATYACHAR is unpredictable and keeps you guessing vis-Ã -vis what turn the story will take next. If unpredictability is its strength, there's a weakness as well: The screenplay isn't watertight.On the whole, THE FILM EMOTIONAL ATYACHAR isn't the perfect cool and hip film, but better than most movies that come in the garb of new-age cinema.Visit Site for More

It's short and snazzy, yes, but Emotional Atyachar doesn't exactly live up to the turn-of-the-century title it seems to have borrowed from one of the funkiest songs of recent movie lore. Lifting the kinky catchphrase from Dev D isn't enough to ensure kinky cinema too. So what went amiss? The answer is easy: too little of two of the finest offbeat actors we currently have, Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey and too much of the side heroes who can hardly hold your attention, specially when the plot keeps spinning out of control. Quirky as it comes, but not enough of crookedness to pitch it in the league of Johnny Gaddar and the likes, Emotional Atyachar is a black comedy that mostly ends up grey.Visit Site for More

The Film Emotional Atyachar is a road thriller set on the Bombay-Goa highway. The story is essentially about one night and what happens to different people on that fateful night. Since thrillers of this kind have been seen in the past, there is not much novelty in BhaviniBheda’s script. It tries so visibly hard to be tough, murky, sassy and, most laughably, clever that it's impossible to find any redeeming aspects in its devoted wannabeism.Mostly what makes The Film Emotional Atyachar such a nauseous fare is its complete disregard for story, coherence and dialogue writing.Emotional Atyachar would probably work better as a made-for-television movie not just because its deficient of technical finesse but nothing really drives the plot beyond a bag of money. There's no context. There's no inclination. There's definitely no emotion. And we all know how much sense television is supposed to make.The only decent thing about this Atyachar is that it wraps up in about 90 minutes.Visit Site for More

Every character in debutant director Akshay Shere's funny, bitter and violent ode to the road movie wants money. Sometimes they also crave for sex.A hurried impatient narrative edited with brutal austerity, "Emotional Atyachar" is not every one's cup of tea. Really, one doesn't see people rushing for this strange tale of blood, gore and vendetta situated in the greyest moral zone of the modern wounded civilization. The plot is self-consciously complicated. The wheelerdealers who swish in and out of the plot charting a bloody course are not quite the people you want to meet at a party let alone on a deserted highway. A road thriller it is, but the creative hands failed to sculpt a comprehensive storyline, topping it with humour that is bland, not dark.A bagful of money can be the cause of varied human emotions; it can also be all you need to make a dark film like Emotional Atyachar.The sharp and quick editing and style of story-telling are compelling and Shere does a commendable job.Visit Site for More
Before the interval, the film looks like a mishmash of isolated events unfolding in the casinos of Goa and the Mumbai-Goa highway. Expert editing, time moving back and forth, puts all these events into context.If you like happy endings, Emotional Atyachar is not for you. Watch it only if you can handle the grey shades in human personas.
