Zed Plus Hindi Movie Review

In time, Aslam gets used to his status and the power goes to his head. He is then persuaded into chasing political ambitions. How he copes with it comprises the rest of the film. The narrative, while apparently authentic is overly long, unfocused and takes too long to get to the point to depict its satirical content. The subject matter could have been interesting but it is mired in tedious, very boring, rural and regional cliches that audiences have already seen, so many times.Visit Site for more

On the whole, Zed Plus is a political satire which is well-made and which has some truly fine performances but as far as its commercial prospects are concerned, they are almost nil because the film will find appreciation among a very thin minority, referred to as the high gentry audience in a handful of big cities only.Visit Site for more

Considering how every brand of idiocy attempts to acquire legitimacy in our country, the conjecturing in Zed Plus doesn’t seem far-fetched.What is undeniably heartening is that Zed Plus allows a bunch of talented actors to rise above second rung roles and take centre stage. Unlike him, Zed Plus may not be perfect but it doesn’t insult your intelligence like most Friday fare.Visit Site for more

Zed Plus turns out to be a mildly engaging but overall patchy attempt at political satire from the man who gave us the memorable Doordarshan serial Chanakya. The good news is that there are still people attempting a satirical look at power and pelf and politics, and seeing how the public and personal intersects. The bad news is that it is not effective enough.Visit Site for more

Whilst filming a political satire it's very easy to go overboard in trying hard to send your message across as well as pull in the laughs. But, it's difficult to speak your mind out [softly] and then move on without waiting for a reaction. Because you know, what you have said has already found its intended target!ZED PLUS is a film which falls in the latter category; without trying too hard Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, of 'Chanakya' and PINJAR fame, belts out a classic without straining his, or any of his actors' vocal chords.Visit Site for more
