Although it possesses many of the hallmarks of a classic Disney adventure, the film’s real achievement is in delivering a heroine for our times – smart, brave, independent, opinionated, and one who doesn’t need a romantic interest to feel complete. In doing that, it succeeds where so many other films spectacularly fail.I’m going with three out of five for Moana. It’s worth your time.Visit Site For More

It seems there’s no stopping Disney at this point to win your hearts — after a string of very high quality films over the last few years Moana is yet another lovable addition to the slate. This is the kind of film people of absolutely any age can and should watch, and you don’t even need a review to be convinced to see it.Watch the film on the biggest screen possible, take everyone you know with you, and if you’re lucky enough to find a 2D screen, go for that over the 3D version.Visit Site For More

Moana is a fine addition to Disney’s already enviable roster of princesses. As portrayed by newcomer Auli’i Cravalho, she is endearing, warm, and spunky. In the end, Moana is a terrific Disney movie; vibrant, joyful, with great music and enthusiastic performances. It is steeped in tradition, both of its many legendary predecessors and the colourful culture it celebrates.Visit Site For More

On paper, Moana is a quintessential Disney story: there’s an aspirational princess; a flawed hero, quirky comic reliefs (a senile grandma, a brainless chicken); the promise of a happy ending and most importantly, the golden message of chasing what your heart desires. However, the movie chugs along with breathtaking animation, adorable interactions between the strong-willed girl and the hilariously self-obsessed demigod, and songs that make you shimmy involuntarily. There’s even a Mad Max: Fury Road-inspired battle scene. Moana literally means ‘the ocean’ and as the heroine conquers her namesake, she also conquers your heart. You won’t regret setting sail and voyaging with her.Visit Site For More

Disney films tend to follow a recipe that includes a hero's journey (either figurative or literal), a sidekick, catchy songs, a villain and a lesson. The studio's latest animated feature checks all those boxes, while still managing to enthrall.Moana may not be The Little Mermaid or Aladdin, but the film, set among the islands of Polynesia, boasts not only cultural authenticity but also a young heroine who is steadfast and proud, even as she struggles to find her way. Moana has the appeal of a princess and the heart of a warrior. In other words, she's less a Sleeping Beauty than a South Pacific Mulan.Visit Site For More
