What the film lacks is genuine feeling. Yes, even the frothiest of rom-coms need something real to keep you invested in its characters. I’m going with one-and-a-half out of five for Befikre. Aditya Chopra may have made one of Hindi cinema’s most enduring love stories, but this is a soufflé that sinks like a stone.Visit Site For More

At a point when our mainstream cinema is beginning to grow up, Befikre is painfully childish drivel that proves to be a maddening waste of time. It starts out shrill, turns predictable, and ends up chaotic. To use the language of the youth Aditya Chopra is attempting to speak, let's call it Befi-cray-cray.Visit Site For More

Befikre ticks practically every single box which constitutes the Yashraj canon. It’s all there, and yet, Befikre never quite rises above its shiny surface. In its best moments, it has sparkle, but those few and far between; in the rest, it stays bland and familiar.Visit Site For More

Although Ranveer's chemistry with the statuesque Vaani Kapoor is middling at best, the two leads deliver passable performances. Unfortunately, Befikre has no plot worth the name to lift the emotional tug-of-war between the protagonists out of the morass of monotony. The young couple hook up, break up and hook up again for reasons that are as slight as they are arbitrary. So Befikre is a love story with a slight difference. If only it had more story and less love, it might have been a much better and more rounded film.Visit Site For More

While BEFIKRE may come across as an original piece of work, one can’t help overlook the similarities with the French film LOVE ME IF YOU DARE.While it may resonate well with the youth of today, the traditional audiences might find it shocking to digest. - On the whole BEFIKRE is an urban youth centric fun entertainer with a new age theme which will find patronage with the youth. At the Box- Office, it will be loved and appreciated by the target audience. The masses might find the subject bold and shocking; however, they will be in a minority to make any sizeable impact to its box office prospects. A Sure-shot winner all the way.Visit Site For More

The plot is unoriginal, but the sparkling chemistry between the leads pulls you through most parts of the movie. Essentially, it’s like the same banner's Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, but in reverse. Befikre has some honest, funny moments and the attempt to upgrade the romcom genre is apparent, but like most romcoms, you don’t come away with anything new. If you care for some laughs, some YRF nostalgia and are, well, promiscuous with your choice of romcoms, you could take a chance with this one.Visit Site For More

Befikre makes up for a breezy watch. A rom-com that is flawed but keeps you entertained. Befikre’s plot has many loopholes and also finds inspiration from numerous other rom coms. Befikre is for the young and restless. It is a typical rom com that is meant for people who love the ‘ghisa pita’ romance that mostly defies logic. Befikre can be summed up in three Fs – fun, frothy and frivolous at the same time. Could become a preferred choice for collegians. A 2.5/5 for this Parisian romAnce.Visit Site For More

Just like the adventure sport like bunjee jumping, it’s a rocky ride. There are some great moments, but largely insipid ones.Their decision to hook up, make up, then hook up again is as old as the green hills in France, and the twists are painfully predictable. But it’s the comic scenes that keep this romantic comedy afloat. Watch this film if you are fan of syrupy romances or Ranveer Singh’s groupie. Otherwise, jump into this at your own risk.Visit Site For More

Aditya Chopra's fourth feature as a director -- Befikre is a hot and sexy film. Despite its thin plot , the film holds its attention with the good looking stars, their energy, songs, dances and many lovely day and night scenes in Paris. Chopra's film reminds us that a well-shot Bollywood romantic film can be so entertaining even when it does not necessarily offer anything new. There are some messy moments in the film, especially the weird unruly slapstick scene towards the end in a church. And that is when one senses that Chopra is not in full control of the plot. He knows how the film will end, but the path to that seems forced and convoluted. Still much of Befikre is loaded with a carefree spirit. It is joyful and it will make you smile.Visit Site For More

Ranveer Singh makes for a perfect Dharma. He's the quintessential Delhi brat who adapts quickly to life in Paris. Vaani has a job keeping up. Most of the first half is given over to visuals of the couple making out. (We're not complaining.) It helps that Befikre keeps things breezy and light during the first half. Fun and humour are sprinkled liberally throughout the first half and you're ensured a feel-good time. But does it also feel — well, frivolous? Is there more to this film than its good looks? We'll need to see the second half to find out.Visit Site For More

Like I said before Befikre is unlike any movie Aditya Chopra has directed before, replete with numerous kissing scenes and both Ranveer and Vaani taking their clothes off at any given time. Going by the college crowd around me, the idea does appeal to them, but the more traditionalists among the viewers might turn their noses up. The first half has lighter moments that show off Ranveer Singh’s goofy charm. And you can bet that it is foremost reason why you are able to breeze through the first half. Vaani Kapoor seems to struggle a bit to catch up to Ranveer’s energy, but her French accent and dance moves are bang on.Overall a decent first half with lot of light moments.”Visit Site For More
