Neither suspenseful in its execution of the escape, nor in the big reveal of the mastermind behind Raghu’s problems, the film seems to exist for no other purpose than to showcase Himesh and his limited talent. I’m going with one out of five for Teraa Surroor. The one star is for the gorgeous Dublin locations, and for the infectious music.

The few scenes in which the irrepressibly magical Naseer appears don’t seem to belong to this film. Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur makes a rare appearance, but unfortunately, this yet so charming man doesn’t deserve two random scenes and a tacky, bizarre line which goes like "Bad girls should not get good boyfriends" or whatever.

True to his reputation, Himesh Reshammiya -- the only valid reason for Teraa Surroor's existence, does not show any expression. Not even one. Not even a quarter. If watching a 100-something minutes long music video starring a deadpan, poor man's Sunil Shetty strutting self-importantly in Salman's hand-me-down is your kind of entertainment, book your ticket RIGHT NOW.

A special mention for the film's DoP (Maneesh Chandra Bhatt), for not just the film bearing an upscale and glossy look, but also for successfully capturing the foreign locales (Ireland) exceedingly well on celluloid. On the other hand, the film's editing (Aashish Gaikar) is just about average. On the whole, TERAA SURROOR is aimed at Himesh Reshammiya's fans who may want to go and patronize the movie. The pragmatic economics (cost recovery through the sale of music, satellite and other rights), no opposition and the multitude of Himesh Reshammiya's fans will ensure it will sail to safety at the Box Office.

About the only thing I enjoyed, apart from a few flashes of pristine Dublin, was Shekhar Kapur’s grizzled walk-on appearance as an Indian diplomat with a troubled marriage. The about-to-be-divorced wife (Monica Dogra) plays a lawyer and manages many scenes with Kapur, who gets to deliver the best dialogue in the film: I hate love stories, he says. And smiles. One character says : “oh god it’s a mess”. An apt line.

Teraa Surroor sure is lethal, but for all the wrong reasons, what with Himesh striving very, very hard to pass himself off as a poor man’s superman.Teraa Surroor dives deep into a sea of mothballed ideas. No wonders the exercise yields no pearls. Tera Surroor is a follow-up to the 2007 Himesh Reshammiya starrer Aap Ka Surroor. Himesh holds on to a single expression all through the film. Whether he is dodging a bullet, shooting down gangsters or merely in the midst of a lovers’ tiff, he betrays no semblance of emotion.

The only person who deserves to be applauded in this movie is the one who worked on the set design. It is a terrible story with some good looking locales and great sets. The film with its army of meaningless characters and senseless plot is sailing has nothing that can save it. Watch it if you need some comedy on a weekend. When you are in some desperate need for laughs, unintentional humour can provide you bucketfuls of it...unadulterated. Get some beer and friends to go with it

Reshammiya's fans will appreciate the corny dialogue by Natasha Ramsay, the slow-motion action sequences in which our hero sends criminals flying through conveniently located glass panes, and his newly chiseled body. Whatever the view on Reshammiya and his unrelenting attempts to be regarded as an actor, there is no doubt that he is the biggest sport in Bollywood. Perhaps no other actor tries so hard to live up to the criticism, and succeeds every time.

You might love him or hate, but there’s no denying the fact that Himesh has a strange appeal to the audience that transcends age groups and other barriers. In Tera Suroor, Himesh does a fantastic job of playing to the gallery and giving his audience what they want. He knows his strengths and weaknesses and plays on the former without letting the latter get better of him. Teraa Surroor delivers as a true Himesh Reshammiya film. It is a typical masala entertainer with some great music. If you liked Aap Ka Suroor, then Teraa Surroor definitely won’t disappoint.
