Boov are a bunch of friendly aliens, who led by the cowardly Captain Smek (Martin), just want to live a life of peace on their home planet. However, they are always hounded by their enemies, the nasty Gorgs. The Boov resettle on planet Earth and make a fresh start, but it's not long before they are located and pursued again by the Gorgs, thanks to a slip up by the naive Boov. It is goofy, fun and has its heart in the right place. Home is meant squarely for kids, but that doesn't mean that accompanying adults will also not find this multi-coloured tale of the importance of friendship and familial bonds, heartwarming.

The animation is spotless, with Oh’s expressions and changing colour being the highlight of the movie. Instead of taking its time to settle in, director Tim Johnson has rushed the storyline in the first half. This is a big let-down as the second half seems a bore, with predictable scenes. Jim Parson’s effort is commendable in the film, along with the visually pleasing animation. Take your kids along for this one.
