 But for all the frenzy that it seeks to whip up, Commando 2, helmed by comedian and sitcom director Deven Bhojani, is a rather dreary affair. It generates no edge-of-the-seat excitement because the fight sequences are drably mechanical and, therefore, utterly monotonous. To aggravate matters, the film's principal antagonist, around the halfway point, turns out to be a femme fatale who makes far too many fatal mistakes to stand a real chance against a glib soldier who is Bollywood's very own version of a combination of Vin Diesel and The Rock.

 The sequel of Commando, called Commando 2: The Black Money Trail, gives Vidyut Jammwal large tracts of the film to flex his awe-inspiring biceps, and other equally spectacular muscles, in the service of his ‘desh’. He’s also given a bunch of unlikely companions, in the shape of the most shapely Esha Gupta, the played-for-laughs Adah Sharma, the mandatory computer geek, and the lean mean cop with dubious loyalty (Freddy Daruwala). nbsp;

 There’s no denying that Bollywood action hero Vidyut Jammwal is strikingly good at hand-to-hand combat. His ripped torso and sinewy arms seems to have a life of its own, but that vibrancy wasn’t reflected in its story or in the way the characters were fleshed out in Commando 2: The Black Money Trail. But the brisk pace sits well with this action drama. The web of double-crossing and lies come swiftly. The bright spot in this fight-fuelled drama is Jammwal, whose blows pack a punch. Watch this only if you are a fan of body combat and bloody fist fights.

 In this ghastly attempt at an action thriller, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetization drive prompts the creation of a secret task force to recall a black money kingpin from South East Asia. What emerges are a bunch of lousy actors with fully availed gym subscriptions.

 What’s Good: Vidyut Jammwal’s ability to pull off action with so much ease. What’s Bad: Hammy dialogues and a boring plot. Loo Break: May be every time Esha Gupta talks. Watch or Not?: This is easily passable. There’s no great action or acting in this film.

"Rangoon" is an epic love story, taking a beautiful film star from the film sets of 1944 Bollywood to the jungles of the India-Burma border where she must entertain the English and Indian troops. In the midst of battles and betrayals, Julia (Kangana Ranaut) falls in love with a young Indian soldier Nawab (Shahid Kapoor), and learns some bitter truths about the dream of Indian independence.
