Chor Chor Super Chor Movie Review

Chor Chor Super Chor, however, has a pretty nifty idea at its core. Sadly, the film squanders the idea by stretching it around and turning several of its characters into overblown stereotypes with outlandish accents and exaggerated gestures -- even as its hero plays it mostly cool and realistic. The result is a film that never connects, a film that is frustratingly hard to like even though there are some good lines and good actors behind them. A script like this, finessed into something sharp, would make for a fine film. This one will please Dobriyal fans, but its annoying need to act like a farce with a laugh-track is what ironically dashes its chances.

There isn’t enough novelty as lot of sequences and scenes look like they were either inspired or written after watching other films. The jokes and one liners fall flat early on in the film. The only ones laughing are the on screen characters. Music too is average and sounds formulaic. My biggest grouse with the film is its pace, especially when you have a heist happening there needs to be a sense of urgency to make the story line more interesting. Everything happens at its own sweet pace and somewhere in the middle you start losing interest.With some more enthusiasm and zest the film would have had a better impact. Watch it for the performances and some funny gags.

What’s Good: A polished satire framed with neat wit. What’s Bad: Sloppy Execution. Watch or Not?: Chor Chor Super Chor is well conceived thought which is formulated into a satire. Revolving around the dhanda of petty chors, the film is strictly harmless. However, it is saddled with an unimaginative and slim script, which depends only on its actors for its humor quotient. It’s mostly bizarre slapstick and there is nothing here that you absolutely must see!
