Yet with all its faults, Singh is Bling isn't entirely unwatchable also because Akshay Kumar is in great form. He brings a manic energy to the comedy, infusing Raftaar Singh with goofiness and sheer likeability that stays till the end, long after the film has stopped being fun. I'm going with two-and-a-half out of five.

Enjoyed Singh Is Bliing. Prabhu Dheva delivers a complete package: Ample laughs, stylised action, subtle emotions. A mazedaar entertainer. SinghIsBliing lives up to the hype it has generated. A paisa vasool entertainer. Should strike a chord with those who relish masala movies.

Don't go expecting logic in the story, as this is a quirky comedy that solely relies on superstar Akshay's swag to keep you entertained. Amy Jackson is a revelation as she plays her feisty character well and so do the supporting actors. After a hilarious first half, a few inconsequential scenes and random songs follow but Prabhudheva smartly reverses the gender roles of his lead cast, thus adding some novelty to the proceedings.

As conflicting as it sounds, a lousy movie can say a lot about an actor’s capabilities. Like for how long Akshay Kumar covers up the absence of plot in Singh is Bliing on the strength of his comic charisma. It’s not enough, ultimately. But for what its worth, the star’s frisky zeal is laudable throughout the scatter-brained script whose quirky possibilities are never realised by its formulaic filmmaker.

Singh Is Bliing’ is a low rent comedy and doesn’t care who knows it. Everything about it stoops low: IQ, jokes, scenes. Of course, there is no story, only unconnected, jerky set-pieces. The only thing which saves it—a little — is that it wears its silliness proudly on its hero’s `pug’ ( turban), said hero smartly reworking his good-hearted simpleton who loves his mother and respects his father, and rescues his girl.

In all, Singh Is Bliing is a fun-filled affair, only if you choose to abandon your brain a light year away from the ticket windows and then enter the theatre. For Akshay Kumar fans, if you've loved Rowdy Rathore and other similar films of the actor, this will come across as a decent enough watch. For the rest, skipping this won't be a life-changing decision.

Singh is Bliing goes all out to redefine cinematic trash. The title itself is a dead giveaway. Do not expect any sense, logic or finesse from anything that Singh is Bliing has on offer. The onus is entirely on the audience to figure out what is going on the screen. But that isn't the problem with Singh is Bliing. What is irretrievably amiss with the film is that nothing it says manages to drift anywhere near some degree of coherence.

There isn't much by way of a plot or storytelling in this film. It's essentially a set of well-written comic sketches, featuring recurring characters. There's nothing evolved or sophisticated about this film, but that doesn't mean it's not worth a watch. Singh is Bliing is — and it might be just what the doctor ordered to lift your spirits after watching Talvar.

Singh Is Bliing could well be the last word on puerile humour Bollywood tries so hard to excel in often. Because it’s a film where it’s director, Prabhudheva, appears on screen only to pee on other characters. You get the drift? There is nothing shining in Singh Is Bling.Anything happens at any time in Singh Is Bliing.

With SINGH IS BLIING however, he seems to have hit the right chord. Prabhu has packaged everything that is needed in a slapstick comedy aimed at the masses. Be it the funny one liners, religious sentiments, emotions, action etc, SINGH IS BLIING has it all. While the first half of the film is hilarious to the core loaded with pranks and funny episodes, the film's second half, though slow, is high on emotions and drama. Though the film has a weak storyline which gets clearer only in the second half, it's the funny antics of Akshay Kumar and his side-kicks that keep you rolling in your seat with laughter. On the whole, SINGH IS BLIING is a slapstick comedy that offers paisa-vasool entertainment. Surely a 'must-watch' for this long weekend.

The first half gives you a few instances that you could truly laugh your heart out on. With Singh Is Bliing, the curse of the second half strikes extremely hard and you completely miss the fun. Prabhudheva’s attempt to add drama as well as romance along with comedy does not succeed, leaving us waiting for the film to truly get over.
