Alternately funny, sad, and exciting, Pete’s Dragon leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy in the end. Those of you that don’t have a pet will more than likely be pleading with your parents to let you get one. I’m going with three out of five.Alternately funny, sad, and exciting, Pete’s Dragon leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy in the end.  A Disney remake of a 1977 Disney film of the same name, Pete's Dragon sets itself apart from any other recent three-dimensional summer release with its unhurried, old-school charm. This is a giant-sized film which turns out to be a mercifully modest affair, and one must take advantage of cinema that surprises with pleasantry. This is what Lowery's film does, promising a star and delivering but a gleam. The back of that blond head doesn't even belong to Robert Redford.

The human encroachment irks you as much as it irks them, who bond on their common tale of 'survival'. The stunning 3D visuals, animation is equally enthralling if not class-apart. However, it's the actors and the story that overshadow the technology
