Even if you do end up predicting the climax, it’s an engaging journey following all the clues and dodging the red herrings. Dasgupta’s efficient direction and an inherently riveting plot (thank you Korean film Montage, whose official remake this is!) ensure that you’re consistently invested in the outcome of the investigation. The film is as much about old age, guilt, redemption, and the morality of revenge.I’m going with three out of five for TE3N. Had they put a little more pace into it, this thriller could fly.Visit Site For More

The excitement and fire of a thriller are missing in the script. Ritesh Shah’s dialogues are too commonplace for the genre. Ribhu Dasgupta’s direction is not in keeping with the genre of the film. The narrative style is too laidback for a thriller. Clinton Cerejo’s music is not of the popular variety. On the whole, Te3n is a dull fare which will find the going at the box-office very tough. Flop.Visit Site For More

Producer Sujoy Ghosh ensures that there is at least an aesthetic in place and the film is competently crafted even if it squanders its narrative potential. Overall, like the Calcutta police station that features a library of audio cassettes full of ransom demands -- a shelf of kidnapper mixtapes, if you will -- TE3N feels like it was put together by people who didn't know where things should go. Amitabh Bachchan is excellent, no question. Ah, if only his mystery involved an elusive bottle of Isabgol.Visit Site For More

The plot has too much fuzz, and the characters are all surface And while the identity of the culprit does come as a surprise if you haven’t been attentive to some amount of obviousness in the unravelling, the suspense is not as killing as it can be, which for a whodunit like this, is the real crime.Visit Site For More

Visually and aurally, Te3n is a consistently ‘alive’ film. It isn’t an edge-of-the-seat humdinger. The motivations of its key characters are at times rather fuzzy. And it suffers from a pronounced Kahaani hangover (which is not surprising given that director Sujoy Ghosh is the producer). But Te3n is never less than eminently watchable. The slow-burning drama about crime, tragedy, guilt and retribution has the potential to repay the patience of those that don’t switch off their brains when watching a film.Visit Site For More

It’s edgy, gripping and dark, mostly because of the actors and partly due to the milieu. While Nawazuddin brings a strangeness to the table, Sabyasachi shows how to get noticed subtly. Amitabh is the cohesive force behind this thriller. TE3N catches you by the neck and keeps you engrossed till the end credits. Amitabh’s superlative form is just one of the incentives to watch it. TE3N has enough to make you like it.Visit Site For More

Based on the Korean film, Montage, Te3n is a whodunnit that is simple in its intention but clever in its execution As the jigsaw puzzle falls into place, the protagonists' feelings towards the situation and themselves falls perfectly into place, keeping the viewers pleasantly engaged with the plot and the people. The film's ability to maintain the suspense right till the end makes it a must-watch for those who like whodunnits. However, a better pace could have lifted this film a notch higher.Visit Site For More

While the promos of the film were enticing and thrilling, the sad part is that the same cannot be said about the film in totality. Right from the first scene, the film's oscillation between the past and the present leaves the viewers a bit confused. While the film's screenplay (Suresh Nair, Ritesh Shah, Bijesh Jayarajan) has many loopholes and is far from compelling, it fails to do complete justice to the 'shock value' that forms the crux of such genre of films. On the whole, TE3N, despite being a whodunit thriller, suffers extremely because of its slow pace and weak screenplay. At the box-office it will be unable to connect with its target audience.Visit Site For More

Te3n turns out to be a disappointing thriller as it starts to give away the suspense quite early on. If you want to catch a film that can make you scratch your brain then this is not your pick. It is an average thriller, still a better choice than many senseless Bollywood films.Visit Site For More

Te3n flounders and the overzealous background score can’t camouflage the gaping holes in its narrative. In any mystery thriller, dead ends and red herrings are part of the fun, but the climax must tower over it all for us to feel satiated. Sadly, that never quite happens with Te3n. Unlike Kahani, we not only figure out the story well in advance, we even have enough time to wager a bet about how the cards will fall, with which side up. But go for Te3n to witness the beauty of Amitabh Bachchan. He alone is reason enough! Really! I give it a generous 3.5 QUINTS out of 5, only for him.Visit Site For More
