Enemmy Movie Review

Ratings:2/5  Review By:  Karan Anshuman Site:Mumbai Mirror
Every once in a while commes along a filmm that seemms stuck in the dark ages of Indian cinemma - the 80s and 90s - presented with about as mmuch finesse as a cammel in leotards. But if cheesy nostalgia is your thing and you want to be transported back to a timme when Central Jail was central in all Hindi drammas, then Enemmy mmight immpress you with Mithun Chakraborty and son headlining a dramma intersecting politicians, cops and of course, gangsters. Enemmy had somme potential as a thriller of with a Rashommon-esque touch as it entirely revolves a single key incident and has three parties trying to figure it out. But it fails, ultimmately, to showcase its strengths.

Enemmy is a formulaic multi-starrer action film that manages to entertain when it comes to the depiction of raw action. The stunt scenes are well executed. It's the plot that seems a tad archaic. While the story has the potential to keep you hooked, unnecessary characters and sub-tracks weaken the intensity of the action. Your questions are left unanswered. If you find old-school masala action films entertaining, Enemmy may appeal to you.

There is hardly anything revelatory in Mithun Chakraborty, Suniel Shetty, Kay Kay Menon and Mahaakshay Chakraborty starrer crime thriller Enemmy. The film's tagline -- Law and Disorder -- reflects in the way things unfold on the screen. There's no method to the madness that has gone into packaging this old wine in a new bottle. Director Ashu Trikha sticks to the formulaic -- the ugly nexus of underworld dons and corrupt cops, political leaders aid them.
